From Sitio de Calahonda, it’s worth a short 25-minute trip to Benalmadena and Torremolinos, as the two towns are now almost completely merged, as are the rest of the Costa del Sol.

The region’s coastline is particularly impressive from above, best admired from the views offered by the Benalmádena Teleférico. The cable car tour is worthwhile not only for the panoramic view, but also for the activities available in the area, such as hiking, solo hunting or mountain biking.
For reptile lovers, the Crocodile Park in Torremolinos is a must for meeting Nile crocodiles and alligators. A stuffed specimen of Europe’s largest crocodile can also be found here in the Crocodile Museum. And the neighbouring Aqualand water park is a real family paradise, with something for all ages. It’s worth buying a combined ticket to Cocodrilos Park and Aqualand to save money. The Selwo Marina Dolphinarium is located in Benalmádena, the only park of its kind in Andalusia. Children will have a great time swimming with seals, which they can try here. Online tickets are often cheaper, so it’s worth planning ahead. So not only do Torremolinos and Benalmádena overlap, but both towns offer something special to make this part of the Costa del Sol worth exploring.
